Flowerbox window view

A flowerbox window view, seen while taking a walk

My husband and I decided to take a walk after a particularly filling dinner, we always take our camera phones in case a photo op appears....it usually does. It's funny how you can walk past something a million times and not appreciate the beauty, until you are actually on the lookout and open to the view around you.

A busy bee

A busy bee enjoys one of my pink coneflowers. I was outside bbq-ing and while waiting to stir the veggies I took a stroll around the garden to see what was blooming and was very happy to see many bees flittering about doing bee stuff.

The beach

Shawn and I went for a walk on the beach which of course lead to brodericks for some ice cream. It's so lovely strolling through a beach town while indulging in chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream, the calories don't count because you're walking as you eat it, lol (or at least that's the theory)

We saw these geese relaxing by the lake as we hiked on Lake Margaret, just behind pinafore park and within walking distance of home but it seems like a mini vacation escape walking the trail around the water.

Deck sitting and chives

Sometimes I sit on our front deck to catch some quick sun while i drink a fruit smoothie, this is also where I have some pots of chives liberated from my moms garden a few years ago. They are in bloom right now and ready to make my potatoes tasty : )

Tree walk by

I snapped this photo of this tree in the garden of a nearby church. I loved the organic form of the tree against the structured lines of the building and the difference in textures between the brick vs the stone of the foundation.

Kitchen work

A shot of my kitchen, working on my laptop at the table beside the window. I actually have an office but continually find myself in the kitchen.  Could be not only the pretty ravine view and my friend Edgar the fake crow, but the easy access to coffee and snacks : )

Spring in the forest

I was out on my deck photographing some paintings and took a shot of the trees and blooming periwinkle just off the steps. After having so much rain every thing is growing like a weed, actually I think it mostly is weeds.

Mother's day

I made a little photo collage for mother's day.  The plants are really popping today the leaves are unferling, opening up and saying ahh....I love you mom!!!!

Spring has sprung

Finally after a long winter the flowers are blooming.  These are some daffodils that have opened up their sunny bright faces in my front garden.  The rest of the garden needs some work but hopefully the April showers will bring more flowers come May.

Stay up late at night stitching away on stars and a full moon. Based on my painting "Moon over Roadway" this project would look great hanging in a bedroom, a sleepy night-time view as the last thing you see before drifting off for the night.
