Christmas tree , one of several at the retirement home where my mom lives. The home is a converted victorian mansion called waverley mansion . Every year the staff work hard to make look festive for all the folks who live there, it is much appreciated !!
We have a homemade christmas tree on the wall this year. We are moving, so our regular stuff is in storage including all the decorations. I made this from found sticks coat hangers & dollar store ornaments & swags. For under $20 it suits our festive needs : ) www.CathyHorvath.com

Santa Clause Christmas parade here in st.thomas Canada. Very rainy night, but made for some pretty light reflections. This is the grand finale of the parade were the big man himself appears with a hearty hohoho merrychristmas and happy holiday to all!!!
View from my art studio table. Its not much of a #view as it looks out at the neighbor's roof. Just as well, a great view would be distracting, best to give oneself over to inner peace and creativity when making art To see what came out of all this art making visit my etsy shop at www.etsy.com/ca/shop/SoloWorkStudio

Artists will recognize my painterly look, lol. This shirt is over 20 years old, my husband wore it as a teenager to his summer house painting job not knowing many years later he would marry an artist who would liberate it to wear while making art everyday. This is recycling at it's frugal artist best. www.CathyHorvath.com

Out for a walk when we came across these wonderful wild fall grapes growing on the side of a house at the end of the street. Visions of geurilla wine making and covert midnight harvesting went through my head. Fortunately my husband usually talks me down before i get in too much trouble, lol. www.CathyHorvath.com
The sun was sooo warm today, especially for November in Canada!! While out walking we were amazed to see there was still some south facing flowers in bloom, and strangely these weren't the only ones. www.CathyHorvath.com

Crazy windy water day at Port Stanley beach lake Erie, my husband Shawn made it out to the pier but I chickened out ,the wind made it seem like we were standing in front of a sandblaster. Check out the poor seagulls trying not to get picked up and whipped around. Too dangerous to fly today!! www.CathyHorvath.com
Sunset ,yes it's early at this time of year but also very warm for November.
All of us in southwestern ontario are sucking up this last blast of wonderful weather to keep us going through the impending winter. www.CathyHorvath.com

I like to make little decor vignettes around the house using objects we've collected over time. This is a clock i inherited from my folks, it sits on our bakers rack along with some natural objects found outside and topped with a cute little wooden mouse that was a gift from my father in law. I know its all just stuff but the joy for me lies in the fact that this stuff has personal memories and story. www.CathyHorvath.com
The #autumnleaves in the sun were wonderful today. The colors vibrated against the red of the neighbor's #barn , I'm going to miss seeing all the color once the snow takes over. www.CathyHorvath.com
I love these mini pumpkins that my hubby brought home to me, he knows how much i love seasonal decor and autumn especially. Thanks sweetie!!!
UPDATE on the seasonal pumpkins, I'm a person who can't stand to waste food, so we have since eaten the seasonal pumpkins, lol. I cut off the tops, scooped out the seeds (roasted those) then put a pat of butter inside and pie seasonings, then roasted them on the bbq. They were very good!!!
Happy fall my bright colorful art is available for cellphones and all your devices from nuvango Check them out (no longer available at gelaskins, stay tuned for new products) http://nuvango.com/cathy-horvath-buchanan
Felix the resident cat taking it easy on the stairs at the retirement home where my mom lives, he gets sooo much attention there, and many rides on resident's walkers (but with all the walkers he has to watch his tail). www.CathyHorvath.com
Saw this halloween 'decoration' as i was driving down a country road on the way home from London, very creepy...drive away as fast as you can!!!! www.CathyHorvath.com

What's with this...snow in october.... we usually don't see the white stuff till the end of December. This after I posted a photo of my husband and dog taking advantage of the warm fall weather about 8 days ago, wow how quickly things change in southwestern ontario. www.CathyHorvath.com

Big cloud fall day, this is my favourite type of sky!! I think of it as a 'Group of 7' kind of sky. It might only be Canadian's who get that reference. www.CathyHorvath.com
As we walked just before sunset I noticed the sun came through the trees like a halo, lighting the dandelion seed heads so that they glowed. www.CathyHorvath.com
This is Roy, the resident cat at the retirement home where my mom lives. He likes to check out the goldfish pond when he thinks nobody is looking. www.CathyHorvath.com
I just potted up some new plants I got from the Horton street open air market just down the road, here in St.Thomas.
Some mint, basil and tomato. The chives I already had, they are brave survivors of many winters and pretty much indestructible, thank goodness. While I love having fresh herbs and tomatoes I don't have the best luck growing them. www.CathyHorvath.com
Here is our dog patches, inherited from my father in law. He's a sweetie but a howler if something good goes by.....by good i mean ,a cat, another dog, skateboarders, fire trucks, mailman, newspaper man, etc.
He's enjoying the yard and the snazzy leash zip line Shawn rigged. Oh happy day, bbq-ing with the dog in the yard on a long weekend. www.CathyHorvath.com
