Dandelion sunset

As we walked just before sunset I noticed the sun came through the trees like a halo,  lighting the dandelion seed heads so that they glowed.

My Herbs in Container Garden

I just  potted up some new plants I got from the Horton street open air market just down the road, here in St.Thomas.
Some mint, basil and tomato. The chives I already had, they are brave survivors of many winters and pretty much indestructible, thank goodness. While I love having fresh herbs and tomatoes I don't have the best luck growing them.

Bbq-ing with Patches

Here is our dog patches, inherited from my father in law. He's a sweetie but a howler if something  good  goes by.....by good  i mean ,a cat, another dog, skateboarders, fire trucks,  mailman, newspaper man, etc.
He's  enjoying the yard and the snazzy leash zip line Shawn  rigged. Oh happy day, bbq-ing with the dog in the yard on a long  weekend.
